<p>PURPOSE:To provide a low cost recording/reproducing device with small size and light weight, capable of detecting the tape end without damaging the tape and also capable of feeding the tape at high speed. CONSTITUTION:The subject recording/reproducing device, on which a tape cassette connecting a reader tape to the end part of a magnetic tape 1 is mounted, is furnished with a signal recording/reproducing means 16 to be inserted in the opening part provided at the center of one end face of the same tape cassette when it is mounted, a tape inserting/transporting means 17 inserted in one opening part out of the left opening part and right opening part which are provided symmetrically to the center line at the left and right end parts of relevant one end face, and a tape end detecting means 50 arranged near the opening part of other side to detect the aforementioned reader tape.</p> |
