a) Press for the manufacture of articles made of cellular polymers. b) The press is characterised in that it comprises: - a transfer frame (101) carrying the second mould element (103), this transfer frame (101) being able to move with a linear movement between a moulding position (105) and a demoulding position (106); - the moulding position (105) of the transfer frame (101) being located on the path YY of the movable frame (102), opposite that which may then rejoin the transfer frame (101) for a moulding operation; - the demoulding position (106) being clear, with respect to the path YY of the movable frame (102), in order to allow the transfer frame (101) to be freely accessible via its front face for the manipulator (110); - the manipulator (110) being fitted with a mask which can move parallel to the direction of the demoulding of the transfer frame in the demoulding position (106).
