Device which can be fitted to the handle of walking sticks, by means of which they can be positioned vertically close to the user, balanced and inverted, at the desired site. In a first embodiment, the device is a cylindrical plastic tube of 10 cm (1). Slotted longitudinally, the latter forms a clamp which is positioned at the end of the handle of the walking stick. The clamp becomes a heel piece of 1.4 cm, on which the inverted walking stick bears. Bevelled, it forms a third triangular support point, such that the walking stick remains balanced without any other support. Two recesses (3) and a shoulder (6) hold the clamp in its exact place. Fixed, it does not get in the way and can remain permanently in place. The device can also have the shape of a half crown, which gives an identical result. <IMAGE>
