PURPOSE:To improve the solvent compatibility of the title deriv. and facilitate the formation of a uniform high-quality recording layer by spin coating, etc., by incorporating a specific chemical structure into the deriv. CONSTITUTION:An indole deriv. of formula I [wherein Y is O, S, Se, or -C(CH3)2-; and Z is a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring, an anthracene ring, or a phenanthrene ring] is sulfonated, reacted with an amide compd., and quaternized with compd. of the formula: R1X [wherein R1 is a (halogenated) alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, alkoxy, OH, or COOH; and X is an anion of halogen, perchloric acid, toluenesulfonic acid, an alkanesulfonic acid, or borofluoric acid] to give a compd. of formula II (wherein n is 1-4; R2 is a sulfonamide group such a group of formula III of IV), which is reacted by the pentamethinecyanine method using a cross-linking compd. to give the title deriv. of formula V (wherein k is 1-3). |
