<p>The chamber drier (1) comprises a plurality of housings (2) in series next to one another, and one or more gates (4). The housings (2) are closed on all sides, apart from the housing opening (20) at the end and a venting duct (9). The drying units are accommodated in the gate (4) which can be moved along the series of housings. For the drying operation, the individual housing (2) is in each case closed at its opening (20) by the gate (4) and drying air is admitted.
