Rotating machine lubrication - has fed tube to ring groove and distribution with connections to the lubricating points

The lubricating system for rotating machines, esp. braiding machines for mfg. braided strands, has a feed tube (21) leading from the central lubricant supply which is passed through a fixed hollow axis (20). A cylindrical head piece (9) is inserted into the hollow axis (20) at the end face side, with passage drilling. The feed opens into a sealed ring groove (10) at the outer sliding surface of the head piece (9) and the distributer (12), in a star shape, in a keyed fit rotating round the head piece (9). The circumference of the distributer (12) has drilliings matching the number of connections (14) for the lubricating points, to link with the ring groove. Conventional dosing pistons (22) are at the connections (14) to cover the tube feed (16) to be secured in the oil feed drillings through staybolts (23). The staybolts (23) are inserted through the inner side of a rotating carrier (19), so that the oil feed channels of the staybolts (23) are aligned for the flow through the lubricating points (18). The distributor (12) has a forced action through the links (15) at the staybolts (23) and distributor (12). Pref. circular seals (11) are between the head piece (9) and the distributer (12) to seal the ring groove (10). The rotating carrier (19) is a ring slide path. With braiding machines, the staybolts (23) are close to the planetary wheels (17) and are as an axis for the planetary wheels inserted at the inner side of the slide path ring. ADVANTAGE - The lubricating system gives a feed of lubricant to the static and the rotating machine parts and their lubricating points in a simple assembly. It requires little operating and maintenance work, and gives a long life to the machine parts.
