PURPOSE:To achieve oscillation in single longitudinal mode and obtain a high output by using a neodium ion concentration which is at a constant value as a solid laser rod. CONSTITUTION:A neodium ion concentration exceeding 3at% is used as a solid laser rod. A title item consists of a semiconductor laser 11 which emits a laser beams 10 as a pumping light. a mount 12 which performs fixed retention, a YVO4 rod (Nd: YVO4 rod) 13 which is a solid laser rod where neodium (Nd) is doped, and a KTP crystal 14. Since a coating 18 is provided on an end face 14a of the KTP crystal 14, only a second harmonics 17 is taken out of this KTP crystal. When an Nd ion concentration of 4at% is used for Nd: YVO4 rod 13, a laser beam 15 constantly oscillates in single longitudinal mode stably, thus the second harmonics 17 in single longitudinal mode with a high output of 6mW and a stable output are obtained. |
