PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of dielectric characteristic caused by volatilization of Zn component by firing a compact of powder for dielectric porcelain of a perovskite crystal structure containing Zn, after covering the compact by powdered magnesium compound. CONSTITUTION:Firing a compact of powder for dielectric porcelain of a perovskite crystal structure containing Zn, after making powdered compound of an inorganic or organic magnesium compound such as magnesium oxide, MgCo3 and the like adhere to the compact, a covering layer having prescribed thickness is formed on the compact. Thereby deterioration of dielectric characteristic is reduced, because Zn component, represented by ZnO hardly volatilizes during the process of firing. |
