A frequency/phase detector between a reference signal V0 at the frequency F0 and a signal V1 at a variable frequency F1 consists essentially of a frequency discriminator, known elsewhere, in which the output signal of the phase-shifting circuit, as a function of the frequency (3) centred on the frequency F0 is applied, not directly to a demodulator circuit (4) but via a summer circuit (6) which furthermore receives the reference signal V0. The invention is applicable especially to servocontrol or phase-locked loops implemented in radars and frequency synthesisers. <IMAGE>
