The appts. dispenses measured quantities of milk products into cup shaped containers ready for packaging. It uses a vertical sleeve through which the products travels downwards into a container below. A cylinder containing a piston projects into the sleeve, and is operated to control the flow and also to control the supply of cleaning fluid after each operation. The piston is retracted to assist entry of the product with a suction action, and is movement synchronised with a rotation of the cylinder about its axis to seal the opening while cleaning fluid is circulated through supply and delivery connections near its surface.
