Bottle neck wrapping process - involves using paper blank with projecting, adhesive-covered flap pressed onto bottle neck

The process is for wrapping a bottle head and neck (1b,a), using a blank (2) of paper or similar. This has glue applied to the back. It is placed around the bottle head/neck, so as to overlap, and then pressed against it by all-round pressure. The paper blank has a projecting flap (4) on one cut edge (6a,b). The width (a) of the flap is at least the same as the dia. of the end face (8) of the bottle head, but smaller than half its circumference. Its length is the same as the dia. of that end face. The blank is placed around the bottle neck, with that cut edge, aligned with the edge of the end face of the bottle head. ADVANTAGE - Easier removal of residue during subsequent cleaning of empty bottles.
