<p>PURPOSE:To offer the liquid crystal display device with the handwriting input function which is simple in structure and reducible in thickness and enables handwriting input operation matching a display. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal panel 11 which has liquid crystal 24 charged between two glass plates 21 and 22 and is provided with picture element electrodes 25, capacitor electrodes 26, and a counter electrode 29 on the internal surfaces of the glass plates 21 and 22 and equipped with thin film transistors 27 on one glass internal surface by picture elements is used for both display operation and input operation; and a display selection is made with one thin film transistor 27 and charges are led out of other thin film transistors 27 by the touching of an input pen 15 to specify the position of the input pen 15.</p> |
