PURPOSE: To provide a windage shield to be used for a gas turbine engine in which the temperature rise is minimized related to a projection in a fluid flow path. CONSTITUTION: This windage shield 100 is used together with a pair of annular members with their edges abutted on each other so as to demarcate a boundary of a fluid flow path, and each annular member is provided with a radial flange for coupling the member on an abutting part. Both flanges are coupled with each other by circumferentially spaced bolts, and each bolt comprises a head part projected into the fluid flow path and a nut. The windage shield 100 comprises a ring, and the ring is provided with a first surface 104 with a plurality of circumferentially spaced arcuate grooves 102. Each groove receives the bolt head parts of the specified number when the ring is coupled with the corresponding flange. A second opposite to the first surface of the ring has a plurality of holes 106 piercing the ring and reaching the first surface, and each hole is arranged between a pair of arcuate grooves adjacent to each other, and a countersunk part is provided in the second surface. |
