PURPOSE:To easily convert a picture element density by displaying plural lines of picture elements with a prescribed density simultaneously onto a display device, detecting the picture element with a sensor having a desired picture element density and converting the picture element into a signal having a desired picture element density. CONSTITUTION:A signal 11 of 300dpi is read by a row memory 16 by one line. In this case, a data in existence already in the row memory 16 is transferred to a row memory 15 and a data having been in the row memory 15 is transferred to a row memory 14 and each data in each of the row memories 14-16 is shifted by one line. A picture data stored in the three row memories is displayed by a 300dpi display device 18 and the data is read as a 400dpi signal by a CCD sensor 19. Through the constitution above, the correspondence of a picture element is allocated, so-called, in an optical way and the picture element density is easily converted with an optional ratio by selecting the ratio of the picture element density of the display device 18 to the picture element density of the sensor 19. |
