PURPOSE:To improve matching property, chemical resistance, and aptitude for printing by providing a thermal recording layer having leuco dye and developer as principal components on a support body, and thereon a protective layer to which pigment and resin are added so that the product of oil absorption of the pigment and additive ratio of the pigment to the resin becomes below a specific value. CONSTITUTION:On a support body made of synthetic paper or plastic film, a thermal recording layer having leuco dye of triphenylmethane and fluorene series and developer of phenolic compound and thiophenol compound as principal components is provided. On the recording layer, a protective layer, wherein a relationship of compounding quantity of pigment (parts by weight), compounding quantity of resin (parts by weight), and oil absorption of pigment (ml/100g) is (compounding quantity of pigment)/(compounding quantity of resin)X(oil absorption of pigment)<=90, is provided. Here, water soluble resin such as polyvinyl alcohol and cellulose derivative is used as a resin and inorganic fine powder such as calcium carbonate and silica is used as a pigment. |
