PURPOSE:To vary a voltage applied to high-voltage equipment through a mechanical means in the copying device where copying processes for forming a positive image from a negative image and a positive image from a positive image can be changed by replacing a process cartridge. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine main body side is provided with plural contacts for switching high voltage sources for a transfer electrostatic charger 15, i.e., a 1st leaf spring 43 and a coil spring contact 50, and a 2nd leaf spring 44 and a coil spring contact 51, and the side of a process cartridge 14 is provided with a 1st guide pin 20 or 2nd guide pin 21 which engages the contacts according to the copying process. Then the necessary process cartridge 14 is mounted corresponding to the copying process and then either of the 1st and 2nd guide pins 20 and 21 engages the contacts 43 and 50, or 44 and 51 to couple one of them. |
