The dustbin (1) comprises a body (2) with a rectangular cross section tapering towards the bottom (8) and a lid (3) hinged on its rear edge. At the front is a retainer for the grip claw of a lifting and tipping mechanism, while at the bottom a pair of travel wheels (6) are mounted off-centre, with their axes in line. The bottom merges into the rear wall (36) via a sloping one (37), in which wheel recesses are formed at the sides. They contain a continuous axle, or stub axles in line, with the wheels situated inside imaginary lines formed by extensions of the sloping wall and the wheel recesses.
