PURPOSE:To decrease nurses' routines by radio announcing the completion of dosing of a liquid chemical to a nurse station in the case of execution of instillation to a patient. CONSTITUTION:The liquid chemical is sent from the bottom of a bottle 5 housing the chemicals 4 for instillation by a tube 9 to an instillation needle 10 at the front end thereof. An instillation rate detecting sensor 6 is provided in the mid-way of this tube 9 to detect the presence or absence of the flow of the liquid chemical. The result thereof is sent by a radio signal together with identification information to the nurse station. Electrode plates are provided on the detecting sensor 6 on both sides of the tube 9 to form a capacitor. An electrostatic capacity is large when the liquid chemical passes the tube 9 and the electrostatic capacity decreases when the liquid chemical does no longer flow and, therefore, the presence or absence of the flow of the liquid chemical is detected. Ultrasonic waves are usable for the sensor and the nurses' burdens are decreased in this way. Since the immediate removal of the instillation needle 10 right after the completion of the dosing is possible, the patient's pain is relieved. |
