A cyclic aminoalkylsilane having the general formula (1): <CHEM> wherein R1 and R2 may be the same or different and each are a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R3 is a chlorine atom or a trifluoromethyl group, A stands for -CH2-, -CH2CH2-, -CH(CH3)-, -O- or a single bond. The compound above has biological activities that enable the control of growth of plant bodies and hence is useful as a plant growth regulator which can be used in production of field crops and garden crops, and improvement in environment.
