Pruning shears for pruning tree branches which are out of arm's reach, comprising a shearing tool (1) fixed to a handle (2) and means for controlling the shearing tool (1), the latter comprising two blades (5, 8) which interact together enabling a branch (4) to be pruned, the blades (5, 8) being arranged with respect to each other and with respect to the handle (2) so that the pruning centre of one of the blades (5, 8) in the branch (4) progresses, in an initial phase, obliquely from top to bottom, and in a final phase in a direction forming an angle of no more than 10 DEG and preferably no more than 5 DEG with the horizontal, when the handle (2) is in a substantially vertical position. <IMAGE> |
