PURPOSE:To optimize a design in an optimum design-operation control system for a valve gland packing to the piping system of an electric power plant or the like by holding various basic characteristics regarding the deformation and sealing performance of a packing as a data base, and judging the aptitude of applied conditions from the data base and valve measure, a packing, a clamping method, fluid pressure, and the like. CONSTITUTION:Data on various basic characteristics regarding the deformation, sealing performance, and the like of a valve gland packing is previously held as a data base in a data holding means 101. Data such as the measure of a valve to be used, a gland packing, the combination of packings, a clamping method and fluid pressure is inputted from an input means 102. An arithmetic means 103 computes a packing surface pressure, axial frictional force, fluid leak speed, and the like from the input data and the data base, and outputs them to a judging means 104. The judging means 104 judges the aptitude of applied conditions set from the computed result, and outputs it from an output means 105 such as a CRT. |
