A sealing profile for lowerable window panes (10) is described, which profile has a holding edge (5) around which an attachment clamp (1) engages, said sealing profile comprising in its cross-section an upper sealing lip (8) which can be rested against the window pane (10) and presses against the latter, a lower sealing lip (9) lying below the upper sealing lip (8) and a cover lip (11) which is joined to the upper end of the upper sealing lip (8) and extends away with the free end of the upper sealing lip (8) over the holding edge (5) and dips into a groove (13) which is constructed between the head end (14) of the holding edge (5) and a separate cover strip (3). The sealing profile is characterised in that a tensile belt (15) which is formed on integrally to the sealing profile extends between the upper end of the upper sealing lip (8) and the upper end (14) of the holding edge (5) and is aligned in the stretched state at an acute angle (X) with respect to the cover lip (11) in order to prevent the free end of the cover lip (11) slipping out of the groove (13) when the window pane (10) is completely lowered below the upper sealing lip (8). |
