MANUFACTURE OF OPTICAL SWITCH ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To offer the manufacture of the optical switch element wherein the projection part of an optical fiber is hard to break or damage. CONSTITUTION:This manufacture method is equipped with a 1st process wherein the optical fiber 3 is adhered and fixed to the surface 2a of an element main body 2 while projected toward the abutting end surface 2b of the element main body 2 and the projection part 3a of the optical fiber 3 is fixed to the projection reference surface 8 of the abutting end surface 2b of the element main body 2, a 2nd process wherein the projection part 3a of the optical fiber 3 is cut uniformly to desired size of slight projection from the projection reference surface 8 of the abutting end surface 2b of the element main body 2, and a 3rd process wherein the adhesive 9 at the projection part 3a of the optical fiber 3 is removed.
