A curable coating resin composition comprising (A) a compound having at least one polymerizable acrylic radical, methacrylic radical or vinyl radical, or a mixture thereof; (B) an organic solvent comprising not less than 40% by weight of an alcohol; (C) a compound having at least one pentavalent p with bonding represented by formula (1) and (D) a polymerization initiator. Information recording media can have cured surface coatings of the resin composition.
