PURPOSE:A powder of man's hair, which is obtained by crusing hairs at a temperature lower than a prescribed one, is include as an effective component to give the titled composition that is high-safety, because it causes no skin allergy, makes white hair parts inconspicuous, increase the moisture retention of the hair and gives flexibility and gloss to the hair. CONSTITUTION:Man's hair that has been cut off and dumped from barber's shops is washed with water to remove foreign substances, treated with a detergent to effect defatting, when necessary, desinfected with an aqueous solutio of benzalkonium chloride and dried. Then, the man's hair is crushed at a low temperature of lower than -100 deg.C, preferably at -120--140 deg.C. As the cooling medium, is used liquid nitrogen that is produced advantageously by utilizing the coldness of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to cool air. The objective hair-dressin composition includes a fine powder of man's hair with particle sizes of less than 200mesh (74mum). Further, keratin extracted from the fine powder of man's hair may be added to a hair- dressing composition. |
