PURPOSE: To facilitate the assembly of a motion converter for converting rotary input motion to linear output motion for use with lathe tailstocks or the like by supporting on its immovable connecting element two basic elements with respective screw threads of the same diameter and number of threads but of the opposite lead angles, and interposing roller-mounted screw driving members between both basic elements. CONSTITUTION: Linear input motion 22 for input control is turned by a rotational angleαabout a rotary spindle 19 when transmitted to a guide bushing 56 via inner rings 54' and 55' that synchronize in rotation with the rotary spindle 19. The guide bushing 56 moves on a carrier sleeve 36 through a stroke H. A slide sleeve 24 then follows the movement to cause a roller 25 engaged in a guide groove 59 to roll therein, such that the angular moment is transmitted to the rotary spindle 19. The slide sleeve 24 in this way provides a linear guide. |
