2.1 Until now, the thin plates have been fed in a plate series to the pressing gap (3) of a band press (1) or a laminating apparatus, to be precise in continuous operation together with the film-like material (7) or the like, which is laminated onto the thin plates. When the thin plates enter the pressing gap (3), an offset of the entering plate with respect to the preceding plate in the conveying plane or transversely to the conveying plane or a supporting on the preceding plate can occur.
