PURPOSE:To reduce the trouble of registration at the time of use by utilizing other dictionaries on an external storage device by the voice recognition system which is used on a personal computer. CONSTITUTION:When a user D other than users A, B, and C which are registered on the external storage device 40, the voice of the user needs to be registered, but the computer prompts the voicing of only a key word first in this case. When the user D voices the key word, only respective key words in A, B, and C dictionaries are loaded in the recognition dictionary memory of a voice recognition device 20 for the unknown input pattern of the key word, recognizing operation is performed, and the word having the highest similarity is loaded in the recognition dictionary memory. Consequently, the voice dictionary having the feature of a voice relatively close to the user D is diverted as the voice dictionary of the user D. |
