PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength, toughness and clearness of color by blending ZrO2 containing a stabilizer with Er2O3, Pr6O11, Fe2O3 and ZnO respectively in an amount of a prescribed mol. CONSTITUTION:A solution obtained by blending a Zr compound with a compound forming a stabilizer (e.g. Y2O3) after calcination, an Er compound and a Pr compound is filtrated to obtain a powder. The resultant powder is then calcined at 800-1100 deg.C to obtain a calcined powder having 6-20m<2>/g specific surface area, and an Fe compound and a Zn compound are admixed therewith. The obtained mixture is molded and the resultant molding is subsequently sintered at 1300-1400 deg.C, thus producing the objective ivory-color sintered zirconia containing Er2O3, Pr6O11, Fe2O3 and ZnO respectively in an amount of 0.05-1.0mol%, 0.0001-0.05mol%, 0.0001-0.3mol% and 0.05-0.3mol% based on the stabilizer-containing ZrO2. A bracket for correction of irregular teeth is, as necessary, produced by using this sintered material. |
