PURPOSE:To carry out cutting processing of artificial stone into an optional shape by dispersing a mixed granular material composed of pigments of a color different from that of a filler and a filler having a specific gravity same as and/or approximate to that of the filler in a material containing the filler. CONSTITUTION:Filler grains 2 such as aluminum hydroxide having 5-100mum grain diameter are blended with an inorganic pigment 3 and a binder such as PVA is further blended therewith and mixed until aggregates having 1 to several mm grain diameter are attained. The resultant aggregates are then dried by heating and sieved to prepare a colored granular substance 1 having 0.5-2.0 mm grain diameter. A resin component such as an acrylic resin is subsequently mixed with a filler such as aluminum hydroxide having 5-100mum grain diameter and the colored granular substance 1 at a prescribed weight ratio and further mixed with a curing agent such as benzoyl peroxide and, as necessary, a curing accelerator to provide a slurry forming material, which is then injected into a prescribed mold, cured and formed at about 50-80 deg.C to afford the objective artificial stone. |
