PURPOSE:To improve magnetic characteristics and oxidation-resistant property by adding nitrogen to an Sm-(Fe,Co) magnet. CONSTITUTION:A region, which is separated by 0.25mm or more from any place of a magnet material is present in the case wherein the magnet material is formed in tabular, grain-like or irregular shape. For example, in the case of tabular form, thickness is be 0.5mm or larger, and in the case of grain-like form, minor axis is be 0.5mm or larger. However, in order to obtain homogenous nitrification, it is desirable that the magnet material is formed in the dimensions and configuration so that there is no region, having the distance exceeding 15mm from the surface of the magnet material, present in the magnet material. Also, it is desirable that the magnet material contains Sm of 5 to 15atomic%, desirably 4 to 14atomic%, N of 5 to 25atomic%, desirably 5 to 20atomic%, and the remaining part contains Fe or Fe and Co, the content of Fe in the remaining part is 20atomic%, desirably 30atomic%. As a result, magnetic characteristics and oxidation-resistant property can be improved. |
