PURPOSE:To improve an operability by easily changing a display luminance level to a desired value in accordance with operator's instruction. CONSTITUTION:When data to instruct the change of the luminance level is inputted from a keyboard 36, the luminance level of a display device corresponding to this input data is indicated by a CPU 11. A power supply circuit 30 controls the value of a luminance control signal supplied to the display device 37 to adjust the luminance level of the display device 37 to the luminance level designated by the CPU 11. Since the display luminance of the display device 37 is controlled by input data from the keyboard 36 in this manner, the operator only performs a prescribed key operation to easily set the luminance level to the desired value.
