PURPOSE:To provide the titled agent by adding a specific amino acid derivative to a penem-type or carbapenem-type antibiotic substance. CONSTITUTION:An antibiotic drug preparation having mitigated side effect (nephric toxicity) can be produced by compounding a penem-type or carbapenem- type antibiotic substance {e.g. the compound of formula I (X is -CH2-, -S-, etc.; R<1> is -CH2CH3, -CH2CH2F, etc.)} with the compound of formula II (R is acetyl or benzoyl; n is 0 or 1) (e.g. N-acetylphenylglycine, N-benzoylphenylglycine, N-acetylphenylalanine, N-benzoylphenylalanine, etc.). The weight ratio of the compound of formula II to the antibiotic substance is preferably 1/10-4. It is administered preferably by intravenous administration. Since the compound of formula II has low solubility in water in itself, an aqueous solution of a metallic compound such as NaOH is added to the dispersion of said compound to adjust the pH of the solution to 6-9 and effect the dissolution of the compound, and the solution is added with the antibiotic substance of formula I to obtain the objective pharmaceutical preparation. |
