PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in picture quality due to variance of characteristics of a charge transfer element by using one charge transfer element which utilizes serial-parallel-serial conversion. CONSTITUTION:A negative pulse is applied to an input terminal 31, a DC voltage is applied to a G1 gate electrode 32, and a video signal is applied to a G2 gate electrode 33. When the negative pulse is applied to the terminal 31, charges are applied to under the electrode 33 from an input diode and when a positive pulse is applied, charges are trapped under the electrode 33. At this time, a cutoff voltage is applied between input gate electrodes 34 and 35. The same driving pulse with a driving electrode 37 is applied to the electrode 34 and the cutoff voltage is applied to the electrode 35 to apply input signal charges to an element group 36; and the driving pulses are applied to a driving electrode 42 and the electrode 35 to the contrary, applying charges to an element group 41. Thus, the input signal charges are distributed to the element groups 36 and 41 at prescribed timing to put them in operation, and consequently a time-axis error is corrected to perform charge transfer free of deterioration in picture quality. |
