PURPOSE: To connect terminal devices to each other without reconstituting the coupling to each system. CONSTITUTION: A module type active optical fiber coupler unit is provided with a logic controller composed of an OR gate 112, an AND gate 117, a tapped delay line 115, and an inverter 114 in addition to a light transmitter 101, a light receiver 102, and a star connector 107. The logic controller operates to prevent an electrical input signal 108 from appearing at an electrical output port 109 and to transmit the signal 108 as an optical output signal and optical input signals 103 and 104 as electrical output signals. |
