PURPOSE:To convey a recording sheetto be image-transfered or transferred by each of two transfer means without any hindrance and discharge it outside an image former. CONSTITUTION:Image information is continuously formed on one image information holding medium 90 by an image information forming means 950, while each image is alternately transferred in succession by both first and second image information transfer means 231, 232, and fixed to the recording medium 90 successively. The medium 90 transferred with an image by the first image information transfer means 231 is conveyed to the side of a fixing means 190 by recording medium conveyor means 209, 210, 104 on one side, and the recording medium 90 not yet transferred with the image is conveyed to the side of a second image information transfer means 232 by recording medium conveyor means 105, 206-208, 211 and, after the image transfer is carried out, it is conveyed to the side of the fixing means 190 and the image is fixed on the recording medium. At time of this conveyance, these two recording conveyor means are alternately driven in an intermittent manner. |
