<p>PURPOSE:To provide a character masking method of printing artwork and the device capable of performing a job for efficient masking work. CONSTITUTION:When a block copy 2, designating each of desired mask areas A-C with a marker means, is read out of an input color scanner 1, these mask areas A-C are discriminated from the area designated by the marker means, storing it in a frame memory 5. In response to this operation, these successively stored mask areas A-C are separably processed on the basis of color information, and a film is exposed by a laser printer 3 as a character mask at each block copy. In addition, a screen tint is formed in this mask area according to color indicating information, in parallel with the film exposure.</p> |
