<p>A seat reclining apparatus for adjusting an inclining angle of a seat back (5B) to a seat cushion (5C) is provided with a base plate (20A, 20B) secured to the seat cushion (5C). An arm (30A, 30B) is secured to the seat back (5B) and is pivotably supported by the base plate (20A, 20B). An upper tooth (40A, 40B) is secured to the arm (30A, 30B), while a lower tooth (50A, 50B) for engaging the upper tooth (40A, 40B) is pivotably supported by the base plate (20A, 20B).
