Saturating mass for manufacture of insulating materials, containing asphalt, large molecular weight modifiers, such as slack wax or polypropylene, and as plasticiser the furfural extract obtained in the process of selective refining with furfural of the fraction from straight-run distillation, and/or the product of selective refining with furfural of the fraction from straight-run distillation, refined with hydrogen, and/or amide of oleic acid, and optionally a filler, characterized in that as a modifier, besides the slack wax or polypropylene, is contains as a modifier hard polyethylene wax with the dropping point of 377 K and/or greasy polyethylene wax with the dropping point of 350 K, that are by-products of high-pressure polymerisation of ethylene, where the mass consists of 5 -25percent by mass of industrial insulation asphalt, 1 - 50percent by mass of modifier, 5 - 70percent by mass of plasticiser, and in a 100 parts by weight it contains 0 - 15 parts by weight of colloidal silica as a filler.<IMAGE>
