PURPOSE:To produce phenol from benzene in single stage and high yield. CONSTITUTION:Benzene is subjected to liquid phase oxidation reaction using oxygen in the presence of a copper ion or palladium as a catalyst. Benzene and oxygen are charged as raw materials in a reactor and further crown ether and/ or quaternary ammonium ion is charged and benzene is reacted with oxygen. Thereby phenol can be produced in high yield. |
