A shaft (1) used for guidance of slidably mounted members in high temperature situations has within the shaft at least a longitudinal passage (16) for the flow of lubricant, and at least one longitudinal passage (14) for the flow of coolant. The longitudinal passage (16) for lubricant is in communication with the external surface of the shaft (1) by at least one radial passage (38) from which lubricant is introduced to the exterior of the shaft (1). The longitudinal passage (14) for flow of coolant is in thermal communication with the shaft (1). |
