摘要 PURPOSE:To generate an almost natural formant tone as well as to increase its class by varying respective data of the center frequency and band width of a formant and its level at a time when this formant tone is generated on the basis of control data. CONSTITUTION:Velocity data being inputted via a bidirectional bus 10 is inputted into a formant generating part 2 via a velocity register, and further tone data are also inputted. The formant generating part 2 outputs the data of center frequency fc, level L, band width D of the formant to a formant composite part 3 on the basis of both tone and velocity data and, in turn, this formant composite part 3 generates four-class data, by way of example, according to these data, then composed and outputted to a sound system 90. Accordingly, the center frequency fc, the band width D and the level L of the formant are changed on the basis of control data controlling a sound volume, through which an almost actual formant tone is generable according to the sound volume.
