<p>PURPOSE: To protect a gas using apparatus liable to be damaged by granular substances, by providing a means combined with a granular substance condensing means to start an activity for preventing damages when the granular substances larger than a predetermined dimension are detected. CONSTITUTION: Granular substances larger than a predetermined dimension are removed from a gas stream and conduit 20 by the use of a granular substance separator 22, and all granular substances remaining in the gas stream are condensed by the use of the extension part 40 of a conduit for receiving the excessively large granular substances in a branch of a conduit 24. Gas and small granular substances are sent from a conduit 27 to a turbine 29. Also, in a conduit 40, the level of granular substances condensed to a large dimension is detected by the use of a transmitter 42, receiver assembly 43, piezoelectric unit and pressure difference detector. A horn 45 is operated or the gas stream is guided directly to an additional granular substance separator in response to the stage of the level to shut off fuel supply to a burner 12, control the other process conditions and start a damage preventing activity for the turbine 29.</p> |
