A method of foundation work of structures on industrial waste heaps, which involves proper strengthening the heap as the base for designed structure loads characterized in that for a given material and heap moisture, a minimal unit energy (Ep) is determined, which is needed to obtain maximal volume thickness of the heap framework, and further, assuming that it is an indicator of load-bearing capacity of the soil (Ic), the heap is compacted with impact machines, within the active zone (B<'>x L<'>he) established for the designed structure (1) with the use of thickening energy not lower than the energy resulting from unit energy (Ep).<IMAGE>
