Platform body cover

A mechanism for a cover 11 for a platform body 10, in which the cover is wound around a drum 12 by means of a hydraulic motor 43 and drawn by means of a pull wire 13 driven by another hydraulic motor 44. The wire wheel 47 of the pull wire is coupled to a shaft 48 placed in the drum. The hydraulic motors are situated close to both ends of the drum. At the edge of the cover a stiffening 14 has been formed, which curves upwards into an arc as the cover is drawn over the platform body. The windshield 60 emerges at the stage in which the cover is almost fully drawn over the platform body 10 and remains hanging in front of the front wall 62 of the platform body. <IMAGE>
