A method of producing rims of vehicle wheels, characterized in that the welded seam of the tube, formed as a result of the coiling of a section of sheet metal, is levelled with the sheet metal surface by squeezing, after which it is subjected to homogenizing heat treatment, and further a half rim is formed from the tube by cold pressing in six consecutive operations: the first where one end of the tube is subjected to circumferential stretching, the middle part is formed into a neck and the other end of the pipe is bent towards the centre; the second where the bent part of the pressed piece is further worked to a right angle; the third in which the further worked part of the pressed piece is worked to its final shape; the fourth in which the stretched part of the pressed piece is expanded to a bell shape; the fifth in which the rim flange is initially formed; and the sixth in which the rim flange and the cone placed under the tyre foot are worked to their final shape.<IMAGE>
