The bearing supports journals which have been reduced in diameter at each end. The bearing is then enclosed in a tubular cover which extends over the full dia. journal, and into a gap within the roller. The rollers form a pair. The bottom roller is driven and the pinch between the two causes the top roller to revolve, transporting the textile fibrous material, e.g. to a pincer bar on a comber. The bottom roller may have the same design as roller. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for a pinch roller which is used in a textile fibre process. The cover over the journals prevents dust and fly from entering the bearing to prevent wear and perhaps stoppage. The suction devices nearby can easily remove dust fly and lint before they accumulate or penetrate. |
