<p>PURPOSE:To provide an aqueous resin composition having a rich luster and an excellent film-forming property by allowing a specific soft polymer to be absorbed and oriented on the surface of a polymer consisting mainly of a speci fied ethylenically unsatrated vinyl monomer. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition giving printing inks having satisfactory resistance to water and abrasion comprises an polymer having a double- layered structure, (A) the polymer forming the core of the double-layered structure being a polymer comprising an aromatic alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated vinyl monomer as an essential component and, if necessary, an alpha,beta-ethylenic carboxylic acid (ester) and having a refractive index of >=1.3, and (B) the polymer forming the soft outer shell being a polymer having a Tg of <=-10 deg.C and produced by copolymerizing monomers consisting mainly of an alpha,beta- ethylenically unsatrated carboxylic acid ester, and allowed to be absorbed and oriented on the polymer (A).</p> |
