PURPOSE:To form an extremely distinct image section and a transparent non- image section, and to provide a transparent type thermal recording material having high water resistance. CONSTITUTION:A transparent type thermal recording material has a transparent supporter, a thermal color-developing layer (containing a dye precursor, a developer and an adsorbent) and a protective layer (containing a hydrophobic adsorbent and a lubricant), and the thermal color-developing layer comprises bis(hydroxyphenyl)acetic acid in general formula (I) as the developer, contains a hydrophobic high-molecular compound (such as a methyl methacrylate copolymer) as the adsorbent and contains a dicarboxylic acid ester compound such as oxalic acid di(p-methylbenzyl), etc., in general formula (II) as a sensitizer. |
