PURPOSE:To provide a dry acrylic nonwoven fabric having an excellent tensile strength and blended with hot-adhesive acrylic fibers containing >= a specific amount of a solvent for the acrylic fibers in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:Acrylic fibers produced mainly from acrylonitrile are homogeneously impregnated with an organic solvent such as dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethyl acetamide, dimethyl formamide, sulforane or ethylene carbonate in an amount of >=0.5wt.% by an immersing method, etc., to form hot-adhesive acrylic fibers. Acrylic fibers are blended with at least >=20wt.% of the hot-adhesive acrylic fibers and formed into a web by a carding method, a random webbing method, etc. The web is thermally treated to fuse the hot-adhesive fibers at the interlacing points of the fibers for providing the objective dry nonwoven fabric. |
